It is not intended for runtime use.
However, the mesh generation code was written with runtime in mind. It may work at runtime too but it is not officially supported. It may be very slow or throw exceptions. The Foliage Generator does not work at runtime.
Don't hesitate ask if you need a specific feature at runtime. Maybe it can be added.

Some assets do, some don't. Please refer to the specific asset documentation page.
I try to support the latest two LTS releases and newer for all my assets.
Don't hesitate to try it in older versions of Unity. Maybe you can make it compatible. Let me know if you got it to run in older versions.
